As the number of tankers departing through the most talked-about Strait of Hormuz has reportedly plunged to its lowest level in two consecutive months, US President Donald Trump did not hesitate to declare that the US would continue its embargo on Iranian ships sailing through the contentious waterway. 

He has declared America as  the guardian of Hormuz. This comes after declaring surety of safeness and protection to the shops passing through this fragile sea route.

He also did not wait long to demand a 20% rebate on every other shipment moved through this famous channel.

Undeniably, the Strait of Hormuz is still at the centre of the burning news, and while the political issues may still be persisting at present, Donald Trump is trying hard to take the spotlight or stay at the centre stage. 

This is definitely not beyond the thought of political points. This channel holds the key factor in the existing US-Iran differences at this critical time.

When Trump was asked about his driving summer pursuits, his eyes certainly glazed over, but he has not left everything to the last minute in his clear discussion.

However, there is still good many a time to make the  tricky situation a little bit more workable. However, uncertainty looms.

Although he appears dedicated to turning off and skilfully disassociating from the long-persisting concern, solutions may be tried to uncover. Definitely, this list is largely focused on most probably comfort.

"The USA will be, from this point onward, known as 'the guardian of the Hormuz strait', but as such, and as a matter of quick righteousness, will be compensated, at the rate of 20 per cent on all cargo shipped, for any and all charges required to accomplish the assignment of delivering safeness and protection to this very explosive section of the world," Trump tweeted on the social media recently.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that US President Donald Trump on has scrapped his proposed 20% "reimbursement fee" on cargo transiting the Strait of Hormuz. He said that it would instead be replaced by trade and investment agreements with Gulf states while declaring what he described as a "full blockade" on Iran-linked shipping.
