Temperature inversions produce fog

  

The Jajmau area of Kanpur continues to experience dense fog these winter days. It can not be denied in any regular situation. The startling sight of fog in the morning continues to scare us without any doubt day after day.

Temperature inversions, in which cold air accumulates at the surface and warm air remains above it, can sufficiently produce fog. This is the science behind the array of fog during the colder winter days.

In the atmosphere, only a cloud-like or smoke-like view persists. Everyone realises this situation without any further argument.
