Feast brings respite from odd routines

On an important occasion, I had the great opportunity to attend a feast arranged at a posh hotel in our famous city of Kanpur's prominent Jajmau area.  Various delicious items were arranged on the stylish table. The guests were really free to choose what they liked to consume. There was a considerable rush but not in any way uncontrollable when I entered the grand air conditioning space. Soon, the humble host emerged, and we liked to step forward for embracing each other as human decency permits us to do on such occasions. I did not lose much time sharing a light joke. I briefed him that I saw you standing from just outside, but you were out of sight the moment I entered the a bit dark hall.  He, in his usual manner, did not pause to say how a man so fat could not be viewed from quite a short distance. Thus, we laughed to the full heartily. Among various dishes, there was also the regular Biryani. How would be missed due to its wide acceptability? When it was indeed ava...

No handshake after cricket match

The Dubai cricket match between India and Pakistan has come to an end, but what now remains hotly discussed, with all practical interest, is the absence of the traditionally usual handshakes among the players of both the cricket teams. The reason is even clearly known, yet a hot discussion continues over this pertinent matter.

What to say of social etiquette, handshake is vital in cricket match also. In absence of this courtesy there appears some void strictly in our particular behaviour. However, a tough situation comes to stay when there begins to start distaste towards this normal grace for one and all. In absence of this politeness, the news started appearing all over. This sends the important message how graceful is this norm in our human lives? Respect, greetings and handshake hold too much importance.

Regular media have reported everything, but social media kept up verbal bitterness in its odd way. The number of spectators did not reportedly reach near the expectations, but the big aim of bringing both the country's cricketers has been formally achieved.

What Pakistan's team manager, Naveed Akram Cheema, and somewhat disturbed fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar are supposedly thinking makes no sense now. Our players proved their cricketing skills while Pakistan miserably failed on the cricket ground.

It is worth mentioning that the able match referee, Andy Pycroft, told the captains to skip the pre-match ritual. What is required to file a formal complaint against the match referee, as was reported by the media?

Now everything is over. What is the need for a verbal battle? Both the countries' cricket boards actually have a stronger, less strained relationship that helped them to conduct this cricket match in as far as Dubai (U.A.E.)

Pakistan’s team manager, Naveed Akram Cheema, had reportedly filed a straight formal complaint against Pycroft. This was claimed by the Pakistan Cricket Board that also claimed it was referee Andy Pycroft who had asked the captains to skip the pre-match ritual.

No handshake remains charmingly unusual practice for the country's cricket team that has won the cricket match against Pakistan at the Dubai cricket pitch recently. The fine players played the game, but they did not follow the customary handshake. Yes, all these happier players showed confidence after their latest victory.

A visionary concept has now emerged. The new criteria include something that would not have even been present in more or less earlier matchups. The handshake for this match has been stopped from being clearly practised. It could somehow pave the way for developing better option in coming days as a strategy.

Our country's happy players refused the customary practice of handshakes with the Pakistan players, a decision reportedly endorsed by the Indian cricket board and coaching staff.

In cricket, it’s quite customary for on-field players from the batting team to practically shake hands with the fielding side and even umpires after the end of the innings.

It is also standard practice for the entire batting team to shake hands with their opponents after the conclusion of the cricket match. It is due to this very reason that the game of cricket is more emphatically called a gentleman's game with all the practicality.

No more handshakes at the Dubai cricket pitch is among the most exciting news stories of the past few days. They can play the game, but they do not shake hands.
