Intense passion for swimming

Finding a lanky boy in a dark red T-shirt wandering around as though he had just returned from his regular daily swimming practice was obviously a total surprise. This  was not the case at all. He can't explain why he decided on routine swimming, despite his considerable height. He didn't appear to realise that the chlorine in the water would turn his face dark. He and two other older boys were swimming without realising this important fact. This will continue for a minimum period of one full month, as was revealed. Every day, these three lads go to a nearby pool to practice swimming. But the younger one did not go for the usual practice  on the particular day since he had developed a slight cough, which was definitely learned following his smart disclosure in the night.  He seemed to be unaware of the fact that chlorine in the water would darken his fair face. Unaware of this significant reality, he and two others continued swimming. This  goes on regularly but sudd...

Bull's menace

A sturdy bull in Bidhnu village of Kanpur Nagar district recently attacked and killed a young man looking for daily work in that particular area.  Undoubtedly the bull has created a fear psychosis among people.

Earlier this month, this particular news item was placed as a far more disturbing call to the authorities concerned thereby delivering a bit of unavoidable warning about the bull's menace.

When the villagers hit the irate bull with sticks, it happened to run away leaving the young man reportedly dead on the ground. They reacted that they were disturbed by the bull's sudden attacks to and fro.

Severely hit by the bull the young man had died. The incident was indeed very painful for the family of the deceased as his brother appeared to express agonisingly.

Meantime, Bidhnu police have sent the body for a post-mortem. Telling their talent of woes the worried villagers told the police that the bull has been harassing people for the last several days, as one or two people told with knowledge of the matter.

However, no immediate responsibility has been initiated even after the complaint. The young man had to bear the brunt of the negligence of the civic authorities concerned by sacrificing his life.

The reported episode remains just one illustration of how lax attitude prevails in dealing with the menace in rural areas.

SP leader Akhilesh Yadav used to describe his concern over bull's menace. His sarcastic views on this problem seem to be not inviting the straight attention of the lax civic bodies.

At least his attention has been pushing the genuine bull's terror toward ever-more-populist issues.

His tirade has been coming after intervals with the intricate issue highly unusual to weigh in before a preventive review on the part of authorities concerned is completed.

Bulls are without a doubt standing as a big problem both for humans and the crops in villages.
