Long power cut around Jajmau

 Recently, Jajmau residents faced a long power cut. It was quite intolerable. Some residents were reportedly sheltered at their relatives' residences in nearby localities. It was definitely a harrowing experience, undoubtedly. People, anyhow, tolerated the worst situation. Such a long-duration power failure in the main localities of the Jajmau area left hapless residents, old ladies, young mothers, and others leaving their homes for relatives' homes, where power supply continued without any disruption.  A totally different scene erupted over a little longer power disruption in Jajmau. There was no clear-cut information about the restoration of the power supply. Labourers brave cold

hile sitting by the window at some height on Sunday, varied scenes appear. If heavy vehicles were passing on the bridge, the labourers remain busy spreading out the leather sheets in the open available space.

It is the start of a new year, so there stands nothing wrong with taking a moment to take stock of those who brave the icy weather for earnings. 

They know they do not have cosy cardigans and clothing to put on to cover their bodies. Yet their physical fitness looks in their long hours of hard labour.

Despite the minimum temperature going as low as 9° Celsius in Jajmau, there were a few noticed soaking themselves in the warmth of sunlight. 

The labourers were not distracted from performing their assigned work of spreading the tanned and coloured leather sheets by fixing them to the wooden Takht to dry under the hazy sun. 

It is quite a strenuous job for them, as they assert in tandem. When they were further asked to explain the nature of their job, they answered we do not care much about the colder weather.

Instead, we think of our livelihood. They did not shy away from saying that the wet pieces of leather sheets are usually dry in this wildly traditional way. 

Working for the past several months a quite young worker, replenished with little guilt at the idea of his poor status, maintained that we did not think much about the nature of work. What we focused upon was used to be the wages at the end of the day.

Why should we not overlook all the pitiable details of our lives? We could not wait to shift to another job. We did not flail the easily available work, stated the third wager.

We did not often talk about the things that had happened in our lives. We merely talk about our struggles, existing impulses, and current tasks. We had a pleasant time filled with reciprocal rapport, care, and undeniably enabling conversations, they further reacted with confidence.

If we would consider the coldness persisting adequately, there was suffering for our families. One among them intervened to utter that there was no escape from natural phenomena. Life remains a bit more tough.
