From Chappal theft to chappal protest

Though slippers are not safe from the past days at public space all the more, the idea of Chappal protest remains a bit straight idea comparatively. It is generally said that the Chappal theft is done to exchange older ones with the new ones. Are you not completely ly agreeing with this reality?
A senior man lost his fine-quality, better-conditioned rubber slippers kept at the lift entrance space in a building. He felt too bad to bear their sudden loss.
"What saddened him the most was their newness," he said bitterly; his voice was filled with anguish.
How much deep discomfort must one bear when even something not so costly is suddenly lost from one's sight?
His slippers were in perfect condition, as he maintained. The moment he came down, his not-so-old slippers were not found in the same place he put them. Those were truthfully stolen.
This made the old man feel so bad that he avoided coming temporarily. It indeed saddened him very much. He was overheard saying that people steal the fine-condition slippers just to replace their older ones. Once lost, it can never be found in any condition.
Irate with this unexpected loss, he did not go at length in condemning the bad person who took the slippers stealthily one afternoon. Though the lax guard was there, his careless attitude appeared to have enhanced the theft cases.
He did not stop condemning the habit of stealing. He was correct in criticising the act, for barefoot walking up to the house becomes a big inconvenience. However, the thief does not understand this very strange problem.
However, we have learnt how a Chappal protest was organised in Karnataka over a serious issue recently. Concerned about purported deletions from electoral rolls during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), civil society organisations in Karnataka recently organised a People's Tribunal and a "Chappal protest" at Bengaluru's Freedom Park.
