Received parcel without pretence

Indeed, a typically strange situation raised before him almost suddenly. It was a somewhat strange situation that was not really speculated on, but it was swiftly stirring and moving around it. 

No one was present in a rather spacious house. Everyone was parting ways at a close relative's or friend's place. It was surely an amazing situation for the person present in the significant house at that very delicately critical moment. 

The person was so honest that he couldn't immediately refuse the parcel at that critical moment. So he had to pay that substantial amount to gain the particular parcel from the delivery man.

It was definitely a difficult situation for him at that instant. Simply, he was in a tight corner. Or, more plainly in the Shakespearean words, to be or not to be.

There was no other straightforward way to refuse the item that was received in a fully packed position. 

Though the payment was initiated, it was unclear whether the money would be returned. No, it was clear that the amount would not be returned.

In the absence of all the house inmates, only one was present. He had paid the amount for accepting the parcel ordered by the house lady. 

She had been engaged in her conversations with other talkative ladies at another distant location. 

The uncomplicated man paid the amount to receive the parcel. It was frankly not a meagre amount of money to pay to receive the parcel without any undue pretence.
