Stoning Satan on Hajj remains vital rite
When I sat down to converse over a vital topic with a young, naive boy, he, in his innocent manner, vociferously questioned whether Satan comes every year on the occasion of Hajj. Hajis stone it on the Hajj as the last rIte of annual pilgrimage
They are seen performing this important last vital rite that is famous as stoning the Satan. The very perfect reply frankly satisfied the younger lad.
He did not realise that this particular act remains apparently symbolic on the Hajj. Among several other rites, this one is also proficiently accomplished by the energetic pilgrims there.
I was not expecting to be confronted with such an extremely odd query, but it oddly & definitely sprouted from the boy's mouth due to his exact awareness of this last rItual of the Hajj.
It was certainly not a dispute between the two of them that began suddenly.
He did not know it was a symbolic gesture, but it was ably performed there. It has a bit more of a strong and surprisingly emotional act that specifically denounces the Satanic ways.
Last but not least, this quite popular ritual commemorates the Prophet Ibrahim's stoning of the devil at the three different spots where it is said Satan tried to dissuade him from obeying God's order to sacrifice his dear young son.
