Sacrificial goats pull kids fast

Bleatings echo all around in the clear sunny atmosphere all over the space as the festival of Eid-ul- Azha nears. The vacant spaces are giving clear view of so many different-hued sacrificial goats. It is just that we know about this important aspect. Some does not deny saying  people have bought lesser goats in comparison to the last year.

Despite the soaring prices of the animals, small or big, there has been no paucity of animals being purchased by the pious and God-fearing Muslims from the impromptu goat market spread out at various locations. Howeve, it can not be denied the lowered figures of the goats this year.

All those kids who used to be reluctant to get up early in the morning now show no iota of hesitancy in getting up earlier, because they remain slightly more interested in the care of the sacrificial goats.  

They bring green leaves for them and even feel more energetic while feeding them. They are showing their mental capacity by saying that this particular animal is called Meddha. It is what they pointed out happens to be Dumba in popular language.

So far as we can gather from online sources, it has been learned that in ancient Vedic rituals, the suffix meddha refers to an animal offered in sacrifice, as in Ashvamedha (horse sacrifice). Whatever it may be, the term meddha remains dominant in their normal conversation.

As per the prescribed rule, every shaeb-i-nisab Muslim is bound to make a sacrifice of a goat in  every case. In case of him not so moneyed a Muslim finds an option of equal seven shares in the big animals like buffalo and others.

Indeed, the financial capacity determines the conviction of Qurbani. This remains quite known to every pious Muslim.
