Taraweeh attendance is declining

Half of the month of Ramadan has already passed. Following the completion of two long weeks of Taraweeh, the number of righteous Muslims at the mosques appears to have decreased, compared with the earlier two weeks, which showed a strong urge to offer the particular prayer.

That strong whim of the devout Muslims seems to have no longer persisted if we find the vacant spaces at the mosques. Several have accepted that they are totally agreeing with this disposition in this month.

This appears to demonstrate a comparative decline in interest in offering the extra twenty rakat of the Taraweeh prayer at nearby mosques.

Only those who have been quite regular or honest in offering this prayer are finding themselves in the mosques. They are indeed fearful of God's anger, so they are quite punctual in attending this absolutely special prayer during the pious month of Ramadan.

It is quite clear that devotees remain punctual in their spiritual attention, as they are looking determined not to miss their entry into the mosques until the completion of the Holy Quran.

They pray as per their convenience. They can offer prayers in a sitting pose if difficulties arise. Reacting upon this trend, a very religious person Y A Lari has openly accepted that such a change brings mental pain to all of us.

There is no rigidity in offering this prayer. It can even be offered in an even easier sitting posture. Those facing a bit more trouble in the standing position can follow the comfortable pose without stress.

They can complete their prayers in the prescribed pose. There is no way out of this important prayer in this significant month. Those who experience physical difficulties can offer this prayer as they feel fit. There is no way out of this important prayer.
