Long power cut around Jajmau

 Recently, Jajmau residents faced a long power cut. It was quite intolerable. Some residents were reportedly sheltered at their relatives' residences in nearby localities. It was definitely a harrowing experience, undoubtedly. People, anyhow, tolerated the worst situation. Such a long-duration power failure in the main localities of the Jajmau area left hapless residents, old ladies, young mothers, and others leaving their homes for relatives' homes, where power supply continued without any disruption.  A totally different scene erupted over a little longer power disruption in Jajmau. There was no clear-cut information about the restoration of the power supply. The residents honestly endured the unsatisfactory situation with the support of an inverter up to 07 a.m.  Certain families moved to their relatives' places to beat the heat.  Even the political leaders kept on asking for the exact timing of the restoration of the normal electricity supply. Traditions die hard


 


Without a doubt, the price of gold is soaring. It remains beyond of the ordinary person's reach. They wouldn't wear it in any of their attempts to purchase even a little piece of gold jewellery. If they go to the jewellery store, their limited budget cannot afford the increased cost. What a day it has become!

It is only affordable for the wealthy. At this point, it is still a fact. They are the ones who readily purchase this priceless yellow gold for all of their everyday needs. The upper middle class, who are afraid to purchase this valuable metal, should be ignored. How could they decorate weddings?

During a discussion a pertinent question was raised before the gathering. Could there be no marriage without presentation of the gold jewellery? It invited all the attention of the gathering and it was argued that such an idea cannot hold in the society. 

On putting this complex question before all the present people the answer remained not possible in the society. Such a view really perplexed one and all on the occasion. Old traditions die hard. An abrupt, unpleasant decision cannot alter societal norms. 

It is  quite difficult to break at such a crucial time. Why doesn't the government take some decisive action in this  particular social area? A straightforward recommendation was made to implement a government subsidy of some sort.

However it seemed to be a bit of impractical suggestion. It was just the same What vehicle did you come here? A bit of highly expensive car. What need did you have? You could have come by even the expensive bicycle. The pomp and show just matters most in our traditionally populated society.
