Youth stands meekly at shop

Nevertheless, there is that young man, so modest and sincere that he doesn't even know the costs of the different goods in his large store. His direct response to the rate enquiry used to be that his elderly father was aware of it.  Naturally, he stays in the store to weigh the various things for clients who come into his roadside business, but he doesn't seem to feel comfortable telling them how much each item costs exactly. Some patrons of his roadside store think this is incredible, if not intimidating. But it's because of how rigid he is about order, how disciplined he is, and how he obeys his father's instructions.  If his simplicity conveys a familiar sense of meekness, it's because he fears his father. Swiss women deny military service

We now come to fully understand why Swiss women have been keeping a relatively low profile lately. It was presumed that such an unusual step of bringing them into military service would obviously inflict additional physical strain on busy ladies, and that would only increase their worries.

It might have been expected to bring such a choice in donning the military uniforms all over again. Or just searches on how to amply emulate their enduring physical glow.

While compulsory military duty for these women might be considered as an extra step towards gender equality, this notion would throw an added strain on so many women, who already bear a major part of the unpaid work of carefully raising and caring for children and relatives, as well as the usual household tasks and responsibilities.

The national service proposal came at a time when other European countries are seeing ways to fortify their armed forces in the face of increasing concerns about Russia’s probable threat beyond the war in Ukraine.

Swiss voters have decisively rejected a call to require women to join national service in the military, civil protection teams or other similar form, as all men do.

As news hints that more than half of the Swiss Cantons, or states, had rejected the citizen service initiative openly by wide margins. That obviously meant that it was defeated, because proposals need a majority of both the voters and the Cantons to pass.
