Long power cut around Jajmau

Recently, Jajmau residents faced a long power cut. It was quite intolerable. Some residents were reportedly sheltered at their relatives' residences in nearby localities. It was definitely a harrowing experience, undoubtedly. People, anyhow, tolerated the worst situation. Such a long-duration power failure in the main localities of the Jajmau area left hapless residents, old ladies, young mothers, and others leaving their homes for relatives' homes, where power supply continued without any disruption.  A totally different scene erupted over a little longer power disruption in Jajmau. There was no clear-cut information about the restoration of the power supply. The residents honestly endured the unsatisfactory situation with the support of an inverter up to 07 a.m.  Certain families moved to their relatives' places to beat the heat.  Even the political leaders kept on asking for the exact timing of the restoration of the normal electricity supply. Is handshake a political custom?

These turbulent days, what is even more openly discussed or talked about, whether in the political arena or on the openly vast playground, is the complete refusal of male and female cricket players to shake hands, for reasons that are strictly known by the different cricket boards of both the nations in a strict sense. It was rather an unusual norm on the cricket ground, some find. It is notoriously difficult.

Whatever it might be, we normally shake hands at our sudden or planned meeting. However, it is sometimes also becoming optional to avoid such a good habit. It may cause problems with our good health, as was seen during the  dangerous Covid days. Therefore,  if a stop continues on this genial tradition, it must not be badly criticised just to laugh at its avoidance significantly.

Some people prefer not to shake hands for various reasons. Touching someone is a kind of overcoming a personal barrier, so it should not be a huge concern. Though there are ways to shake hands correctly so that the other person does not feel worse. The person shaking hands should attempt to undertake it properly in every possible way.

After the Covid days, the male and female cricketers of India and Pakistan have now been strictly avoiding handshakes; it now looks not wholly like a similar situation, comparatively. Players are clearly viewed as returning without following this traditional gesture or practice.

Although it is also said that shaking hands was an unusual way to show that one was unarmed, that is no longer a practical way either. It might be a dying custom!

We have discovered that burying intensely a handshake with our intensive ego filings deep on the dry ground for the time being is what taking place when a social norm is allowed to rot all around the cricket ground. Handshake is taken up  more as a manner showing that observance of good manners can be just as lauding. It is  supposed to be chosen, exchanged, and glittering with a bit more of oxidised sporting patterns.
