Intense passion for swimming

Finding a lanky boy in a dark red T-shirt wandering around as though he had just returned from his regular daily swimming practice was obviously a total surprise. This  was not the case at all. He can't explain why he decided on routine swimming, despite his considerable height. He didn't appear to realise that the chlorine in the water would turn his face dark. He and two other older boys were swimming without realising this important fact. This will continue for a minimum period of one full month, as was revealed. Every day, these three lads go to a nearby pool to practice swimming. But the younger one did not go for the usual practice  on the particular day since he had developed a slight cough, which was definitely learned following his smart disclosure in the night.  He seemed to be unaware of the fact that chlorine in the water would darken his fair face. Unaware of this significant reality, he and two others continued swimming. This  goes on regularly but sudd...

How changing monsoon patterns turn routine

The changing monsoon patterns in the country are significantly impacting daily routines for not only the farmers but also every walk of life. Sufficient rainfall not only causes problems for the rural farmers, disrupting sowing and harvesting schedules, but also troubles the city residents too causing periodic waterlogging and diverse other issues.

Delayed or inadequate rainfall leads to more frequent water shortages, straight affecting irrigation, drinking water, and hydropower generation.

Improved frequency of intense rains, landslides, and flash floods disrupts day-to-day life, inducing travel tribulations and damage to infrastructure.

Erratic monsoons impact crop development, potentially lowering yields and influencing farmers' scarce earnings. Late or uneven rainfall forces farmers to adjust planting schedules, which can impact crop quality and quantity.

Farmers need to adopt smart irrigation steps or techniques and follow water conservation methods to cope with inconsistent rainfall.

Stagnant water and flooding increase the risk of waterborne diseases like cholera, dengue, and malaria.

Prolonged heat waves before the monsoon's arrival can lead to health problems, particularly for vulnerable inhabitants.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts above-normal rainfall for the year, which could not only profit agriculture but also pose challenges due to clearly imaginable harsh weather conditions.

Different regions deal with distinct issues. Some will see erratic impacts, with some regions facing water scarcity and others not escaping heavy precipitation.
