Long power cut around Jajmau

 Recently, Jajmau residents faced a long power cut. It was quite intolerable. Some residents were reportedly sheltered at their relatives' residences in nearby localities. It was definitely a harrowing experience, undoubtedly. People, anyhow, tolerated the worst situation. How changing monsoon patterns turn routine


The changing monsoon patterns in the country are significantly impacting daily routines for not only the farmers but also every walk of life. Sufficient rainfall not only causes problems for the rural farmers, disrupting sowing and harvesting schedules, but also troubles the city residents too causing periodic waterlogging and diverse other issues. 

Delayed or inadequate rainfall leads to more frequent water shortages, straight affecting irrigation, drinking water, and hydropower generation. 

Improved frequency of intense rains, landslides, and flash floods disrupts day-to-day life, inducing travel tribulations and damage to infrastructure.

Erratic monsoons impact crop development, potentially lowering yields and influencing farmers' scarce earnings. Late or uneven rainfall forces farmers to adjust planting schedules, which can impact crop quality and quantity.

Farmers need to adopt smart irrigation steps or techniques and follow water conservation methods to cope with inconsistent rainfall. 

Stagnant water and flooding increase the risk of waterborne diseases like cholera, dengue, and malaria.

Prolonged heat waves before the monsoon's arrival can lead to health problems, particularly for vulnerable inhabitants.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts above-normal rainfall for the year, which could not only profit agriculture but also pose challenges due to clearly imaginable harsh weather conditions.

Different regions deal with distinct issues. Some will see erratic impacts, with some regions facing water scarcity and others not escaping heavy precipitation.
