India to be in great shape with F-35
Fighter jets are of great importance to any army. The fighter jets run with a distinguished style. Army's fighter jets are undoubtedly its foundation. These continued to be a favoured style that fits and insulates well in a medley of weather conditions.
The F-35 and F-16 are both fighter jets, although the F-35 is verily regarded as more advanced and stealthy. The F-35 is a multi-purpose aircraft that can fly like a jet, hover like a helicopter, and intercept enemy radar. It also serves as a communication hub for operations across multiple domains.
F-16 is a dog fighter's dream, equipped with extreme characteristics such as a side-mounted control stick and an ejection seat that lowers the impact of gravitational forces on the well-trained pilot.
The addition of the supersonic F-35 to India's military would be a significant triumph for New Delhi, as only a select number of the countries, including Israel, Japan, and NATO states, are permitted to purchase them from the United States of America.
This jet is usually sold only to NATO countries and close allies. At this stage, it is just a proposal, and the formal process has not yet begun. However, India will have to navigate Trump's strong push for the deal, given his well-known transactional approach to global politics. However, the news has been appreciated by diplomat Shashi Tharoor.
Speaking to reporters in Bengaluru, on the sidelines of the Global Investors Meet (GIM), Mr Tharoor said, "On the defence front, the commitment to sell us F35 stealth aircraft is very valued. That's certainly state-of-the-art aircraft and clearly, we already had the Rafael, now with the F35, the Indian Air Force would be in finer shape."
A request reportedly for comment on the agreement from the White House was not answered by the relatively well-known news agency Reuters. Additionally, Lockheed Martin, the manufacturer of the F-35 jet, also refrained from commenting right away on Trump's plans to sell the special aircraft to India.
F-35 and other US military sales abroad are seen as government-to-government transactions in which the Pentagon works as an intermediary between the defence contractor and a foreign government.
