Jajmau drenched
After July rains, the fire-spitting sun doesn't seem all that scorching. It not only modifies the daily temperature but also ushers in the end of hot days.
Everyone has ample respite from the heat thanks to the morning showers. There will be a fair amount of cloud cover and possibly even a few thunderstorms.
The sweltering summer begins with rain, albeit in short spurts. The irate locals turn yellow with delight, for sure. Sure enough, happiness lit up every face.
The monsoon has brought with it an abundance of rain to Kanpur's Jajmau. Undoubtedly, it has rained a lot. There are still clouds floating in the clear blue sky.
That uncomfortable humidity had disappeared. Because of the early rains, a few students expressed little enthusiasm in attending class.
The fact that people have been anticipating this day for months is not surprising. People are now expressing their happiness that the excessively hot weather is finally over.
The residents of the Jajmau neighbourhood said that there was no power outage during the day, and they added that the rain had definitely turned off the air conditioning devices until the evening.
"Our body and mind were sufficiently soothed, even though the respite arrived a bit later than expected," furiously retorted the inhabitants.
As they stated, it is hardly surprising that the people had been anticipating this day for months. People are now happy that the oppressively hot weather is over.
The long-lasting heat and humidity had completely subsided for them. The people of the Jajmau area said that there was no power outage during the day, and they added that the rain had definitely turned off the air conditioning devices till the evening.
Residents reacted angrily, saying, "Even though the respite arrived from the sky a little late, it sufficiently soothed our body and mind." Kanpur had 80.8 mm of rain in the previous day, according to the Meteorological Department.
The 111 mm of rain that fell in the city was recorded on July 1, 2011, but the July rain recorded in Kanpur during the last 24 hours was mentioned in the above paragraph.
The highest rainfall of this season brought peculiarly a strong start to the rains, we can not wait to see what else the rain has in store for us.
