Pricey vegetables bring tough time

We agree that the most recent difficult time for the common people was brought on by more expensive vegetables, which made them reflect on what our beloved everyday precious life now entails. The surprising circumstance has become a difficult period to endure. Due to several circumstances, vegetable prices are currently high in several places, including Kanpur.  Various common vegetables are now less available and more expensive because of supply chain disruptions, particularly those caused by the rainy climate. Media do not fail to report that rising vegetable prices are practically putting pressure on household finances, particularly for those with lower incomes. Prices for vegetables vary based on terrain and local market conditions, even though they are often pricey. According to the Economic Survey 2024–25, unfavourable weather conditions, such as unexpected rainfall and prolonged heatwaves, have impacted crop output and created supply shortages, which have forced prices high ...

Vote cutter

Congress party in its usual blame game puts AIMIM for its poor performance on at least six seats in Maharashtra. These things have set up a straight line to a specific type of political criticism. If Congress puts the onus on poor performance in elections, AIMIM does not lag behind in calling Congress a vote cutter ultimately.

It also claimed that Mayawati is the troubleshooter for the BJP in Uttar Pradesh while, in Maharashtra, it is Prakash Ambedkar and Owaisi.

Reacting heavily to Congress, AIMIM leader Imtiaz Jaleel denied this unnecessary claim. The attitude was specifically regular and not more than unceremonious.

The Congress party has supposedly not been running errands on the shame of loss, which is perhaps the ultimate in its aspirational tint. Therefore, the party has landed on a rather significant discount, also.

Making its sharp criticism clearer, the Congress did not dissuade from saying that as many as six seats have gone in the BJP's favour because of Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi and AIMIM.

These six rare seats stand thus: Aurangabad, Akola, Buldhana, Hatkanangale, Mumbai North West and Palghar respectively.

VBA and AIMIM got more votes than the margin of victory converting the Congress win on one and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) on five seats into a denigrating defeat,

Instead of 31, Maha Vikas Aghadi would have won 37 out of 48 Lok Sabha seats. The BJP-led alliance would have been reduced to 11 seats and not 17, Congress said confidently.

Jaleel responded that the INDIA alliance with 3 parties secured 2,93,450 votes. While his party secured 3,41,480 votes. The Congress has technically been my vote cutter by placing this unique logic.

He also said that he would have happily campaigned for the INDIA alliance had they done justice to the Muslims of Maharashtra. You could've given at least one ticket to a Muslim candidate, Jaleel retorted.

In Aurangabad Constituency, Jaleel lost to Shiv Sena candidate Sandipan Rao Bhumre by 1.34 lakh votes.

Whereas, Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate Chandrakant Khaire stood third. While Bhumre got 4.76 lakh votes, Jaleel received 3.41 lakh votes and Khaire polled 2.93 lakh.

It will be worthwhile to mention here that Jaleel won the seat as VBA and AIMIM alliance candidate in 2019.

In the recently held Lok Sabha elections, Congress emerged as the largest party with 13 seats in Maharashtra.
