Long power cut around Jajmau

Recently, Jajmau residents faced a long power cut. It was quite intolerable. Some residents were reportedly sheltered at their relatives' residences in nearby localities. It was definitely a harrowing experience, undoubtedly. People, anyhow, tolerated the worst situation. Such a long-duration power failure in the main localities of the Jajmau area left hapless residents, old ladies, young mothers, and others leaving their homes for relatives' homes, where power supply continued without any disruption.  A totally different scene erupted over a little longer power disruption in Jajmau. Footbridge collapses

Good things take time, while the collapse of the newly built footbridge took surely no time in breaking off at Kinshasa's Mont Ngafula district, in the Western part of Congo.

Strangely enough, the footbridge fell down just as the ribbon-cutting ceremony was about to complete.

The particular event puts a shocking sight too fragile ever to be viewed again. The customary event was organised to form a fascination that blew imperfectly under the seasonal breeze on the red carpet.

Furthermore, the event where so many of people forget their happiness looks too delicate to turn extremely sad on the event.

Indeed, sharply-suited guests gathered to open a long-awaited footbridge in Congo recently.

It was only for the required structure to collapse in no time beneath their feet.

It was barely clearly disappointing to onlookers, as Reuters put to video.

Just as an organiser cut the ribbon at the ceremony in Kinshasa's Mont Ngafula district, the footbridge suddenly gave way.

Mont Ngafula is a municipality in the Lukunga District of Kinshasa in Western Congo.

By its surface area, Mont Ngafula is the third-largest commune in Kinshasa's city province, as records specify.

Breaking off both its handrails, the central section fell heavily and suddenly into the stream a couple of metres below.

Spectators started shouting in apparent awe as well as shock as the VIPs struggled to get off the crushed wreck.

The satisfactory realisation was that nobody was reported to have been injured in the unexpected incident.

One of the last people to climb free was a man in a casual type of uniform called military fatigues and dark glasses who was clutching an unopened bottle of champagne, as reported.

Other footage regarding the incident was also shared widely on social media platforms.
