Mistaken identity

While the hot weather may be hinting at this or that thing in the ongoing month, the BJP workers had made a big blunder by not avoiding slogans out of rather their swift curiosity in favour of another leader.

In an interesting case of mistaken identity, BJP's overexcited workers had in a huff welcomed another party leader instead of Kanpur Lok Sabha candidate Ramesh Awasthi at the Kanpur Central Railway station in the past days.

The BJP has allotted a party ticket to Ramesh Awasthi instead of its sitting MP in Kanpur for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The incident took place when several saffron party workers were present at the Kanpur station to receive him.

As the train arrived on the platform, several excited party workers felt no qualms about welcoming someone else instead of genuine Ramesh Awasthi.

By the way, the party workers welcomed BJP's Rajya Sabha MP Baburam Nishad with garlands.

At one apparent point, even Nishad was also seen surprised as to why he got such a warm welcome.

However, the politician was quick to realise the mistake after listening to slogans with the name Ramesh Awasthi.

Later, he thought it fit to apprise the party workers that they had wrongly welcomed him and that Ramesh Awasthi was yet to exit the standing train.

As Ramesh Awasthi came out of the coach, he was warmly welcomed by the party workers and the doubt was absolutely gone.
