Dates in diet

The demand for soft-quality dates increases significantly during the holy month of Ramadan.

People of the Muslim community keep fast for the whole month.

Sehri is eaten before sunrise and iftar is eaten at dusk.

Although after remaining without water for a whole long day, the first thing one feels like drinking is clear water, yet at the time of breaking the fast, it is customary to eat dates first.

After this you can eat anything. Let us know why the fast is broken only by eating dates?

According to Islamic Traditions, breaking the fast by consuming dates in Ramadan is considered Sunnah.

It is believed that dates were the favourite fruit of Prophet Hazrat Mohammad.

He used to break his fast by eating dates. Following the path shown by Prophet Hazrat Mohammad is called Sunnah.

That is why people of the Muslim religion consume dates first to break their obligatory fast.
