Turram Khan

Unsurprisingly we remain conscious of the famous title Turram Khan that is nowadays used to make fun of. When one poses oneself as brave or like that much courageous, the identification of Turram Khan gets attached.

However, who was the real Turram Khan and why is this person's name referred to in our every conversation? We need to know the details in this regard.

Turram Khan's real name was Turrey Baaz Khan, known for his bravery. In such a situation, you are giving the title of Turram Khan to any brave person. It indirectly turns out to be the title of a hero.

Turram Khan was a freedom fighter from Hyderabad, who took part in the revolt of 1857 and faced the British boldly. This is the same Turram Khan, who led the revolt of 1857 started from Barrackpore by Mangal Pandey in Hyderabad.

Turram Khan was against the British and the Nizams of Hyderabad as well. At the British time, when the army marched to Delhi, a soldier named Cheeda Khan refused to march to Delhi, after which he was imprisoned by the Nizam's ministers and kept in the Residency House. After this Turrum Khan attacked the British.

The British were attacked by Turram Khan at night, so the British did not know, but this information had already reached the British through a traitor. The British were fully prepared as there ensued a fierce battle between Turram Khan and the British army at night, but the British could not capture Turram Khan. He was one day captured by Mirza Qurban Ali Beg by deceit in the forest. He was shot dead, and his body was hanged in the city.
